Does Your Handpiece No Longer Hold the Bit in Place? Here’s the Fix
Why did this happen?
If you ever turn on your handpiece without a bit (or the plastic placeholder bit) inside, the vibration can cause the internal collet to unscrew. To prevent this from happening in the future, we always recommend keeping a bit securely placed in the handpiece at all times — even when you are just storing it away.
The Fix:
Luckily, you likely don't need to send your handpiece in for repair. Most nail drills and handpieces we sell come with a set of small maintenance keys specifically for this issue.
A quick note on finding the right key:
If you’ve misplaced yours, don't worry. We do sell these keys separately. However, because different handpiece models require different sizes, we don't list them in our general store to avoid confusion. If you need a new set, just contact our support team and we will make sure you get the exact key that fits your specific model.
